Why do only some scored companies have a record here?

Because a record is evidence, not a score. These are the companies whose individual checks have source documents recorded against them. Publishing a page for a company whose score we cannot show you the paperwork for would look like evidence and would not be any.

Can a company pay to appear here, or to change what it says?

No. Commercial relationships are separated from scoring by design, and the deploy fails if a paid call to action appears on a page that rates the entity being sold to. A partnership buys reach, never a rating.

How do I challenge a record?

Send the document. If a qualifying public commitment exists and we missed it, the record is corrected and the change is logged publicly on a seven-day clock. If the commitment exists but is not published, the ruling stands and the record says so.

The remaining scored companies do not appear here: a score with no checkable evidence behind it is not a record, and publishing one would suggest otherwise.
