Philadelphia has a walkable Center City — but most of its Fortune 500 HQs are out in the suburban office belt, from King of Prussia to the Main Line to Malvern.
Philadelphia looks like a downtown town — Comcast's towers dominate the Center City skyline — but most of its Fortune 500 headquarters are out in the suburbs. Vanguard is in Malvern, Cencora and Lincoln Financial are on the Main Line, UHS and UGI are in King of Prussia, and Crown Holdings is up near the New Jersey line. There's one airport, PHL, to the southwest. So the Philadelphia question isn't which airport; it's Center City or the suburban office belt, and whether SEPTA reaches your campus or you'll need a car.

PHL, SEPTA, and the car question
One airport: Philadelphia International (PHL), southwest of the city, with SEPTA's Airport Line regional rail running into Center City. For a Center City or University City campus you can skip a car and ride SEPTA. But the suburban office belt — King of Prussia, the Main Line, Malvern, Fort Washington, and Bucks County — is car country: SEPTA's regional rail reaches some of it (Conshohocken, Radnor, Malvern), but the campuses aren't a walk from a station, so plan on a car. The rule: SEPTA for Center City, a car for the suburbs.
