Dallas–Fort Worth is the biggest business market between the coasts, and one of the most spread out — two downtowns 30 miles apart, ringed by corporate suburbs from Frisco to Arlington. There's no honest single answer to "where should I stay in Dallas"; there's only "which campus, and which of the two airports." Book by reflex and you can land yourself 40 minutes and a toll road from your meeting. Match the hotel to the submarket.

Which airport — DFW or Love Field?
Two commercial airports, and the right one depends on the campus. DFW International sits between the two cities — the natural choice for Las Colinas (about 15 minutes), Fort Worth, Westlake, and the western suburbs, and it carries nearly every long-haul connection. Dallas Love Field (DAL), northwest of downtown, is closer to the CBD, Uptown, and North Dallas, and it's Southwest's home airport — so if you're flying Southwest or heading downtown, it's usually the shorter door-to-door. For most central and western campuses, DFW; for a downtown- or north-Dallas-centered trip on Southwest, Love Field.
