The Sales Traveler predates this website by seven years. It has been a newsletter, a blog, and a LinkedIn desk before it became an index publisher — same banner, same byline, same rule. This page is the timeline.
The first issue
The Sales Traveler begins as an email newsletter — field notes from the road about what business travel actually does to revenue work. No scoring instrument yet, just the habit that would become one: write down what you can verify, say so when you can't.
The blog years
The notes grow into longer essays on a standalone blog: trip math, hotel workability, the first drafts of frameworks like the written trip objective and the 48-hour follow-up window. The audience stays deliberately narrow — sellers who live on planes.
The LinkedIn desk
Publishing moves to where the readers already were. Years of frameworks, field notes, and arguments ship under Rachel Julian's byline on LinkedIn — the most visible surviving artifact of this era, still public on her profile.
The method takes shape
The frameworks consolidate into an instrument: fifteen binary checks, published commitments only, unpublished terms score No. Scoring begins quietly across the markets that would become the Index Desk.
